JFC operates serial competitions, offering cash compensation for placing the works in the public domain. Each series typically ends when the winner refuses the purse.

Team members meet at awards ceremonies and remix. The ultimate winner will own the IP created in the last round and start a company.

JFC focuses on transformational change by crossing exceptionally challenging "Valleys of Death".

JFC controls the logo, a sign not only of quality but also of products built to be extended by 3rd parties—no walled gardens.
